On Sunday, November 8, 2009 Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Alabama will host its twenty-sixth annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake at Plamor Lanes, 2404 Leeman Ferry Road. Bowl times are 10:00 AM, 11:30 AM,1:00 PM, 2:30 PM and 4:00 PM
Big Brothers Big Sisters is a non-profit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors. For the past twenty-seven years, BBBSNA has fostered one-to-one relationships between children from single-parent families and mature, responsible adults. The relationships provide the youth of our community with positive role models. The mentor or, “big”, provides the support a young person, or “little”, needs to reach maturity with a greater sense of responsibility and stability.
As a non-profit organization, BBBSNA must rely on fund-raising events in order to fund our programs. A Bowl for Kids’ Sake team of bowlers obtains pledges from various sponsors and 100% of the pledges received from the sponsors are donated to BBBSNA.
Your participation will play a key role in ensuring the success of Bowl for Kids’ Sake. More importantly, it will ensure that our organization will continue promoting one-to-one long term mentoring relationships for North Alabama youth.
